Learning from Our FathersThe pioneering spirit which in 1866 induced Franz Paul Hamberger to lay the foundations for the company by starting the manufacture of matchsticks has passed through the generations to the present day. It is not least thanks to this pioneering spirit that we have always invested into new, forward-looking lines of production which further boosted the company's success.
 Some business areas, such as the matchstick production or the brickworks, had to make way for new operations when they were past their prime. Others, such as the sawmill or the WC seat production, could be adapted to changed actualities by continuous modernisation. They have remained successful from the very beginning until today. Entrepreneurial vision, sometimes also courage, and always good common sense have ensured that everything that was added harmoniously integrated into the existing structure.
Our company history has showed us the secret of success and continuity: Holding on to the well-tried, being open to new ideas and always orienting ourselves closely to the signs of the times in all our decisions. |
