Tradition: Continuous Progress Based on Traditional Values Lays the Ground for an Almost 140-Year History of SuccessTraditional values have always formed the foundation for our innovative ideas and our success. Everything started in 1866 with the “sparkling” idea of our company founder, Franz Paul Hamberger, to found a small matchstick factory in the Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim. This marked the beginning of the meanwhile almost 140-year history of success of our company. The company is run today by the fourth and fifth generation of the family, Peter Hamberger and Dr. Peter M. Hamberger. The small matchstick factory has evolved into a major, internationally successful family company with a 250,000 sq.m. production site and has further enhanced its competence in the wood-working industry. This competence has made us the leader in the German parquet market and enables us to apply the acquired know-how to our other product ranges.

Our Flooring division, with parquet, laminate, veneer and cork flooring, linoleum parquet and the Celenio design floor, is not the only business area in which we are very successful. The Sanitary, Sports Flooring and Farming & Forestry divisions have also been an integral part of our company for a long time. We are today the largest WC seat manufacturer producing in Germany. In our Sanitary division, we have manufactured WC seats made of wood and plastic since 1912. The development of our own designs and sophisticated hinge technologies form the basis of the success of the HARO SANITARY brand. Under the brand name HARO SPORTS, we have manufactured portable and permanently installed area-elastic sports floors since 1958. More than 6,000 reference projects all over the world bear evidence of the quality of our sports floors. An experienced team of specialists consults decision-makers and investors in advance on the best flooring solution for sports arenas and multi-purpose halls.

We have remained true to the traditional location of our parquet production in Upper Bavaria until today. We have thereby succeeded in creating a win-win situation, primarily due the manufacture, marketing and distribution of quality products “made in Germany,” which involves about 1,300 employees from the Rosenheim district. As the largest employer in the region, not a year goes by without staff members celebrating their 25th or even 40th anniversaries of employment with our company. Therefore, we can justifiably say that our employees and the know-how they have acquired over the years are our most important company resource. |
